Pressure washer body shell

CASE STUDY

The case in object regards a pressure washer body shell. It is composed by 2 half-shells that must be assembled together. It’s a high aesthetic impact product, that also represent the machine supporting structure.

Product criticities

  • Product appearance is fundamental
  • It is required to apply a bi-color pad printing on the upper side of the object.
  • Dimensional tolerances must be met in order to ensure the correct assembly.

Solutions

  • The mould allows to obtain both the half-shells of this product in a single shot. The finishing is matte.
  • To achieve high-level aestethics for these components, big precision has been reserved to the injection parameters setting.
  • Material choice: the product is made of Polypropylene, which is capable of providing these components with both rigidity and elasticity, also reducing defects due to the presence of ribs.
  • The colouring masters have been chosen with care, to make sure that the product colour matches the customer’s requirements.
  • Pad printing is meticulously checked at every production.
RISULTATO

The two-cavities mould allows a significant cost reduction for this object. The prudent selection of injection parameters, materials and technical specifications of the tool made possible to comply with tolerances, and the assembly is easy and effective.
The product also complies with the highest qualitative standards required from the customer. Our quality department carefully checks every production to promptly intercept any non-conformities.
